This role is critical to the company's success because the primary responsibility will be maintaining the corporate reserve database, which ties directly to the company's value. In this role, the engineering tech will work with other disciplines to ensure the key assumptions in the database are correct and accurately portray the company’s value. This role will support the A&D process on the engineering side as Bison continues to look for opportunities to grow the asset. The role will also provide visibility into the company’s monthly performance compared to the annual budget.

The Senior Reservoir Engineer plays a crucial role in optimizing our asset development strategies through advanced data analysis and reservoir modeling. Their insights directly influence decision-making processes, ensuring efficient extraction and maximization of hydrocarbon resources.
• Conduct and refine rate transient analysis to evaluate reservoir performance and predict future behavior.
• Analyze historical production data and well performance to optimize development plans.
• Collaborate with geology and engineering to integrate data into reservoir models to enhance asset understanding and performance.
• Work with stakeholders to develop data-driven plans for reservoir management.
• Perform decline curve analysis and economic evaluations to assess reservoir profitability.
• Develop and maintain databases for reservoir engineering data.
• Generate visualizations and reports using PowerBI and Spotfire to communicate findings effectively.
• Provide technical support and guidance to field operations teams to ensure reservoir management objectives are met.
• Provide technical advisory to management, offering insights on best practices, emerging trends, and risk mitigation.
• Stay updated with industry best practices. All other duties as assigned.

• Strong programming skills in Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience in creating visualizations and dashboards using PowerBI and Spotfire.
• Solid understanding of reservoir simulation, RTA and modeling techniques.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to reservoir engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $109,200 - $176,300 annually in this location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.

This position is located Denver, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location. No relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position.
This position operates in an office environment. This entails working inside in an office space wherein employee may be provided a public work station (cubicle) or private office.
In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.
This is a full-time position. We operate on a 9/80 work schedule. Typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on working Fridays. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.
Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to onsite locations.
