About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Reservoir Engineering & Development, Conventional, the Senior Reservoir Engineer will focus on subsurface characterization and providing reservoir inputs for development planning and execution. Your work will help unlock value and support decisions from early appraisal through full-field development.

What you’ll do:

- Support appraisal play evaluation and reservoir optimization by building and calibrating models using geological, petrophysical, and production data, and generating type curves and risked inventory estimates.

- Work with various teams (geoscience, drilling, completions, facilities) to refine exploitation strategies, including well placement and frac intensity, and design/analyze well tests such as injectivity tests.

- Provide subsurface support for drilling, completions, and production teams, managing production forecasts, designing pad development plans, and assessing inter-well interference and depletion strategies to optimize operations.

- Provide reservoir and economic analysis for JV evaluations, A&D optimization, and long-term planning, including type curves, production forecasts, and uncertainty analysis to inform strategic decisions.

- Support regulatory applications, align subsurface plans with execution teams, conduct competitor benchmarking, and participate in well reviews and field visits to optimize recovery strategies.

- Prepare material for the annual data conveyance process for year-end and ad hoc reserves evaluations and act as the asset team liaison with Independent Qualified Reserves Evaluators (IQREs)

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

- Legally authorized to work in Canada.

- Bachelors degree in Engineering.

- A member in good standing or eligible for registration with APEGA.

- Minimum 8 years of experience in reservoir engineering.

- Proficiency with data collection and analysis from the public domain including IHS Accumap, FracDB, Petrinex, etc.
