What You will Do

As Senior Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of structural steel projects — from estimation and contracting through fabrication, installation and closeout.

Project Planning & Estimation

- Review drawings and specifications to define scope and assess complexity.

- Coordinate material takeoffs, labor estimates and supplier pricing.

- Prepare formal quotes, RFIs and margin calculations with senior leadership.

- Support proposal submissions with delivery timelines and scope clarifications.

Contracting & Setup

- Finalize contract terms and ensure compliance documentation is collected.

- Record projects in internal systems (Shop Tracker, QuickBooks, PowerFab).

- Lead internal kickoff meetings to align scope, budget and schedule.

- Develop project schedules and coordinate job setup including BOM and drawing reviews.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

- Oversee purchasing of raw materials, subcontracted services and specialty items.

- Track delivery timelines and ensure alignment with budget and schedule.

- Ensure accurate recording of bills and expenses.

- Liaise with suppliers, detailers and subcontractors to ensure quality and timeliness.

Execution & Oversight

- Monitor fabrication and field progress with Production and Field Managers.

- Manage change orders, update cost reports and maintain profitability.

- Attend client meetings, provide updates and manage expectations.

- Coordinate drawing revisions, approvals and external communications.

Quality, Safety & Closeout

- Collaborate with Quality and Safety teams to ensure compliance and documentation.

- Support site teams in resolving issues and maintaining high standards.

- Lead project closeout activities including submittals, lessons learned and final profitability reviews.

What You Bring

- 5+ years of experience in structural steel or miscellaneous metals project management.

- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.

- Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection and construction site operations.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting tools.

- Solid grasp of project financials including budgeting, margins and cost control.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
