Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in managing large-scale commercial construction projects, with a specific emphasis on high-end finishes and sophisticated design implementations. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership, technical expertise, and a meticulous approach to project execution.
Key Responsibilities
•Manage full lifecycle of large-scale commercial construction projects from conceptualization to completion
•Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations
•Oversee intricate high-end finish specifications and implementation across various project types
•Coordinate with architects, designers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure project vision and quality standards are met
•Conduct detailed site inspections and quality control assessments
•Manage complex project budgets, targeting cost efficiency without compromising quality
•Develop and maintain strong client relationships
•Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices
•Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management and stakeholders
•Mentor and guide project management team members
Qualifications
Required
•Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
•Minimum 10 years of progressive project management experience in commercial construction
•Extensive experience with high-end commercial projects in Chicago metropolitan area
•Proven track record of managing projects with budgets exceeding $10 million
•Advanced knowledge of construction management software and technologies
•Strong understanding of local building codes and regulatory requirements
•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project)
Preferred
•Master's degree in Construction Management
•PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
•Experience with sustainable and innovative construction techniques
•Background in hospitality, multi-family, or commercial office construction
