The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Coordinator with at least 7 years' experience to join our team. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Senior Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of our ongoing commercial projects to ensure that project deadlines and budgets are met and that our valued clients are satisfied. Your key responsibilities will include:
•Positively and professionally represent Fairway and communicate effectively with the owners, customers, trades, and members of our team
•Report to Project Manager on multiple projects
•Prepare, distribute, and track project documentation including daily email correspondence, purchase orders, tickets, etc.
•Update and maintain up-to-date logs for all project documentation including daily auditing of tickets to ensure compliance
•Conduct daily site visits to project locations, company yards, and transfer stations to monitor progress, ensure operational efficiency, and coordinate roles and responsibilities with heavy machine operators, mechanics, and drivers
•Interacting with customers and vendors in a professional and friendly manner
•Completing customer and internal invoices, assist with collections
•Effectively utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. and web-based project management software and billing software, Trux Waste Management
•Understand and maintain project cost records, develop cost estimates and perform quantity takeoffs for project planning and budgeting
•Review completed projects with management to improve future outcomes
•Other duties as assigned.

•Post-secondary education in a related field or business preferred
•Minimum of 7 years' of relevant project coordination experience, ability to adapt and solve problems for maintaining project control
•Must have good understanding of the construction and/or trucking, and working knowledge of related documentation, from the project proposal phase through to project closeout
•Ability to manage schedules to ensure the highest level of customer service, including communicating with general contractors, drivers, etc.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), QuickBooks with the ability to learn new programs when required
•Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and WorkSafeBC (WSBC) regulations, collaborating with Safety Coordinator to enforce and implement robust health, safety, and environmental standards
•Physically fit to lift objects (approx. 40 lbs) occasionally in the office or on the site
