About the Position
The Project Manager collaborates closely with both internal teams, including project engineers, field management, and external stakeholders such as the design team, contractors, suppliers, and clients. This role is responsible for providing the leadership, coordination, and resources necessary to meet or exceed project expectations, all while maintaining a strong focus on team safety, efficiency, and overall project success.
Responsibilities
•Lead and provide strategic direction for multiple, complex projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and exceed client expectations, fostering repeat business and long-term partnerships.
•Oversee and optimize field operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation, risk management, and the resolution of any project-related issues in alignment with organizational objectives.
•Act as the primary senior-level point of contact for escalated technical, financial, and logistical challenges, working closely with clients, design teams, vendors, and internal leadership to resolve complex issues.
•Direct the planning, review, and approval of all project submittals, contracts, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and timely execution.
•Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, identifying critical path activities, and implementing corrective actions to ensure projects stay on track and mitigate risks.
•Negotiate and approve significant vendor agreements, subcontracts, and procurement strategies, maintaining financial control and ensuring alignment with project scope and budget.
•Lead pre-construction planning and oversee all aspects of project startup, including site logistics, safety protocols, mobilization, and regulatory compliance.
•Oversee the financial management of projects, including budget development, change order approvals, cost forecasting, and monthly billing, ensuring adherence to project financial targets and profitability.
•Utilize Procore to manage and streamline project documentation, schedules, financials, quality control, and communications, ensuring accurate and up-to-date project tracking.
•Mentor and guide junior project managers and field leadership, fostering professional growth, skill development, and succession planning to build a strong project management team.
•Perform other tasks as assigned by leadership to ensure smooth operations and organizational efficiency
Minimum Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent
•10+ years of experience in construction project management or related field
•Proven ability to manage large, complex projects from inception to completion, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
•Strong understanding of mechanical systems design and construction, including the ability to analyze and resolve technical and logistical challenges in the field
•Strong understanding of construction contracts, project budgets, schedules, and change order management
•Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar)
•Excellent communication and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
•Associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a proven track record of on-time, on-budget project delivery
•Strong background in negotiating vendor agreements, subcontractor scopes, and procurement strategies
•Experience with cost estimation and financial forecasting in a mechanical contracting environment
•Proven leadership in mentoring, developing, and guiding project teams toward high performance and professional growth
•OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour safety certification or ability to obtain
