The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a

Senior Planner

to join our

Underground Fixed Plant Maintenance Integrated Planning Team

in Voisey’s Bay, Labrador, a fly-in fly-out operation. Relocation to the Province of Newfoundland & Labrador will be required for this role.

This is a permanent on-site position

,

working a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotational schedule.

As a Senior Planner you will coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution support for day shutdowns, annual PMP’s, and longer-range work scopes. Your experience and skills will ensure effective utilization of time, resources, labour, and materials while aiding the maintenance team to stay focused and on track with the scheduled short- and long-term plans.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Oversee and ensure consistent planning and scheduling process in routine maintenance.

- Coordinate planning, scheduling, and execution support for day shutdowns, annual PMP’s, and longer range work scopes.

- Aid the maintenance team to stay focused and on track with the scheduled short and long term plans.

- Build a strong relationship with supervisors, schedulers/planners, maintenance teams, and customers.

- Develop and maintain SAP CMMS and required quality systems.

- Support the generation of KPI reports and continuous improvement processes.

About You

Education:

- A Mechanical or Electrical Interprovincial Red Seal or Engineering Technologist Diploma is requried.

Experience:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Planning and/or Heavy Industrial Maintenance is required.

- Experience in rotating equipment, conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, piping systems, electrical systems, etc. would be considered an asset.

Skills:

- Proficient in SAP & O365 products.

- Broad knowledge in the repair of fixed plant assets and mining repair facilities.

- Confidence in managing the priority of backlogged work orders.

- Ability to communicate/lead meetings with IPS, Execution, Operations, Procurement, Maintenance, Project Engineering, and OEMs.
