Position Objective
To provide Architectural solutions and services, and manage/apply architectural footprint
for IT programs. The position includes accountability for strategic system and application
architecture plans, technology design and lifecycle, and information integrity by promoting
reuse through enterprise architecture processes/reviews and standard compliance practices.

Nature and Scope
•Leads and applies an enterprise-wide view to solutions to support the adoption of standards and practices and promote reuse
•This position requires defining detailed design architecture for projects and transforming them into deliverables in terms of code, documents, and common reusable technical artifacts
•Maintains close liaison with Business/customers and vendors to ensure business needs and perception of value are met
•Find the technical solution (hands-on) for specific use cases affecting business functionality
•Champions design and implementation for complex projects
•Utilize collaborative design methods to deliver robust customer/end-user process requirements and satisfaction. Provide guidance to balance these requirements with schedule, staff, and budget constraints
•Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure a shared vision and strategic execution
Principal Accountabilities
•Ensures Enterprise Architecture processes/reviews and standard compliance practices are followed and encourages the team to follow them
•Ensure Business and Security compliances are covered in the software development process
•Utilize collaborative design methods to deliver robust customer/end-user process requirements and satisfaction. Provide guidance to balance these requirements with schedule, staff, and budget constraints.
•Designs and implements processes, or process improvements, to aid in the design, development and support
•Works independently on complex processes and modules that may be used by one or more programs or systems or in support of infrastructure component change management
•Work with business and vendor to ensure the right trade-offs are made to meet both business process and software requirements
•Provides leadership direction and accountability for strategic application architecture plans, technology design and lifecycle, and information integrity
•Champions complex Architectural aspects of IT services provided to the enterprise.
•This may include applications programming, development methods, and commercial off-the-shelf solutions
•Leads a group of Business Analysts, Technical Architects and Software Engineers
•Trains Business Users on tools, technologies, and processes
•Drive the consensus on the business process by working with business process owners to drive solution decisions to deliver solutions
•Provides input for Digital Transformation and Application Rationalization efforts
•Evaluates, recommends, and champion the implementation of process and procedure changes or implementation of new solutions
•Sets priorities and establishes a work plan to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results.
•Champions in brainstorming sessions focused on developing new approaches to meeting quality goals in the measure(s) stated.
•Act as a Product Owner for key enterprise applications, leading the development and prioritization of product backlog.
This job requires being in the San Diego office 5 days a week.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
•Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in business analysis and architecture
•Strong demonstratable experience delivering product and enterprise architecture for enterprise-scale solutions
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent
•Motivated self-starter compelled to innovate and execute their workload without prompting from supervisor
•Knowledge of enterprise systems, such as Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management, or Product Lifecycle Management.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
•Master's degree in a related field
•Certification in TOGAF or a similar framework is highly desirable
•Product Owner experience in managing & prioritizing backlog for multiple applications
•Knowledge of Solar's business, model, processes, and organization
Summary Pay Range:
$125,925.00 - $188,887.00
