Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer

PL/SQL Developer – Remote (Contract, 8 Months with Extensions)

We are seeking an experienced PL/SQL Developer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PL/SQL, T-SQL, and Data Warehousing, with the ability to work across the full software development life cycle (SDLC). This role involves supporting ongoing enterprise projects while ensuring the stability and performance of existing production environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL and T-SQL code.

- Work with Data Warehouse design principles, including Star Schema and the Kimball method.

- Review, convert, and document code to meet business requirements.

- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and create technical documentation.

- Support and troubleshoot production environments, ensuring system availability and reliability.

- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and problem resolution for complex database issues.

- Contribute across all stages of the SDLC within a shared development environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server (T-SQL).

- Expertise in Data Warehouse development, ETL processes, and data modeling.

- Knowledge of Star Schema design and the Kimball methodology.

- Ability to work in Oracle Cloud environments.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for production support.

- Experience gathering business requirements and preparing technical documentation.

- Customer-focused approach with the ability to balance multiple priorities.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $63.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
