As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and capable professional to strengthen our CRN and regulatory compliance team.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng.)to take ownership of pressure equipment compliance activities. This includes design verification, code calculations, and CRN submissions across multiple Canadian provinces.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pressure vessel, piping, or fitting designs in accordance with ASME and CSA standards, and be licensed to stamp engineering documents.
This is a
flexible role— ideally full-time, but part-time or contract arrangements will be considered for the right candidate. The position can be
hybrid(Toronto-based) or
fully remotedepending on fit and location.
- Review, verify, and professionally stamp CRN-related designs, drawings, and calculations.
- Prepare or support preparation of ASME VIII-1/VIII-2 and B31.1/B31.3 code calculations, and FEA-based justifications (as applicable).
- Coordinate and manage applications for CRN registration in various Canadian jurisdictions.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies (e.g., ABSA, TSSA, BCSA), and internal teams to ensure timely approvals.
- Stay current on design codes and provincial registration requirements.
- Licensed
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.)
in at least one Canadian province (Ontario preferred).
- Minimum
5 years
of relevant experience in pressure equipment design (vessels, piping, or fittings).
- Strong knowledge of
ASME Codes
(VIII-1, VIII-2, B31.3, B31.1) and
CSA B51
.
- Proven experience preparing or reviewing
CRN applications
in Canada.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently.
