Senior Mechanical Engineer

About The Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be an individual contributor with comprehensive knowledge in the area possessing the complex, or specialized projects; adapt precedent and potentially making departures from traditional approaches to develop resolutions in addition to coaching and reviewing work of lower-level professionals.

You will report to the Manager of RV & CV Design and Analysis providing project support like technical support and calculations using engineering software. You will also develop design documentation for hardware.

You will work a hybrid schedule based in the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support for assigned work performed in design and analysis.

- Perform analytical calculations and evaluations using a variety of engineering tools and methods. Develop documentation related to these calculations and analyses.

- Develop design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware; this includes manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications, and qualification reports.

- Work with technical leads, project managers, and customers in the coordination of activities associated with assigned work scope

- Occasionally traveling to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution.

Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

- 8 or more years of related engineering experience
