Senior Mechanical Designer, (Part-Time, On-Call, Independent Contractor)

UniversalPegasus International (UPI) is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer on a Part-Time, on call basis to support drafting leads and project teams in the successful deliver of oil and gas projects. This role is ideal for an experience professional who excels in piping design and is comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams who produce high quality project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design piping systems for oil and gas projects, including detailed above and below grade assemblies.

· Prepare and maintain piping design deliverables including:

o 3D Cadworx models

o 2D piping engineering drawings including:

§ Plot plans

§ Piping plans and details

§ Isometrics

§ Bill of materials

· Coordinate with other discipline teams during development of interdisciplinary models and design drawings including Civil, Structural, Survey, Electrical and instrumentation.

· Produce high quality drawings, and designs on a consistent basis.

· Prepare project deliverables and effectively manage personal project workload and priorities.

· Following Drafting standards and work flows.

· Recommend workflow and data integrity standards and procedures.

· Contribute to technical development of team practices and standards.

· Mentoring junior members.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Attributes:

· Proficient in:

o AutoCAD

o Cadworx

o Navisworks

· Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Collaborative mindset with a focus on building positive working relationships.

· Ability to understand and contribute to overall project vision and interdisciplinary coordination.

· Competent in Microsoft Office and drafting software.
