As a Commercial HVAC Controls Systems Technician Level 2, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional HVAC controls installation services to our commercial clients. You will be responsible for the professional installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the cabling and control components for systems pertaining to commercial HVAC systems. You will also be responsible for ensuring correct operation of common HVAC sequences such as economizer control, zone temperature control, discharge air temperature and water temperature control for components such as digital thermostats, controllers, and network controllers. You will also be expected to perform as a site superintendent when necessary to lead a team in the completion of HVAC controls system installation. All technicians are expected to assist in other roles within their abilities from time to time. Responsibilities
Collaborate with team members to install cabling and components safely, efficiently, and effectively per job requirements, industry standards and building codes.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while working.
Help ensure excellent job productivity by relaying task hazards, status, and completions accurately and timely.
Training and providing guidance to other technicians to advance their knowledge and skills.
Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling and components for HVAC control systems.
Perform setup and startup of common HVAC controllers and control sequences.
Use system interface in troubleshooting and setup of common HVAC components and control sequences.
Serve as jobsite superintendent as required.

Qualifications
Possesses a positive safety attitude and high level of personal integrity.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must have a high level of understanding of control components and installation practices for items such as thermostats, control sensors, control panels, digital controllers, transformers, relays, etc.
Must have experience in cabling and running conduit.
Must have experience and knowledge of how to read mechanical drawings and control drawings.
Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC controls industry
Must have at least 3 years of experience performing startup for common controllers and sequences.
Must have a good understanding of HVAC sequences and operation.
EPA license is preferred.
NATE certification is preferred.
Construction experience is required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Work is performed while standing, walking, and climbing.
Requires bending, squatting, crawling, reaching, kneeling, and balancing.
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs. with no assistance.
Requires being around moving machinery, exposure to changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
Work is performed in indoor and outdoor conditions.
Ability to use a ladder extensively.
Travel and Work Requirements
Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm
Working hours will vary depending on job requirements.
Some travel and overnight stay are to be expected.
