What You Will Do
Performs an intermediate level of work related to leakage surveys.
Perform leakage surveys on pipelines including:
Advanced Mobile Leak Survey related work orders (LISAs and Gap Surveys), as applicable
Assist with preparing documentation for regulatory audits; may also assist in field portions of audits.
Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and/or repair leakage survey tools and equipment.
Safely drive and maintain company vehicle, which may include operating an Advanced Mobile Leak Survey unit (as applicable).
Complete and/or update reports including:
Assist with regulatory audits.
Investigate and complete customer related orders and/or emergency situations as needed, including:
Install, remove, and adjust gas meters, regulators, and related equipment.
Gas turn-ons
Gas turn-offs
Review completed survey work for accuracy and completeness (as applicable).
Meet with RCC/OCC (as applicable).
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
Preferred H.S. Diploma
Experience following leak survey procedures.
Experience in use, function, maintenance, and repair of leakage survey tools, equipment, and applications.
Demonstrated ability in application of basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
Experience and training relative to:
Working knowledge of calculations and/or classification of gas leak severity levels.
Working knowledge of transmission and distribution pipeline system operations.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, plats, atlas pages, diagrams, dials, gauges, work logs, job orders, and applicable operation and repair manuals.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Minimum Applicable driver's license.
Lift or move objects weighing up to 10 pounds 3 5 times a day; up to 20 pounds 10 15 times a day.
Travel over uneven terrain including:
Walk, stand, kneel/stoop, and drive for extended periods.
Push spud bar in ground and extract.
React immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
Smell odorant in natural gas.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and/or exchange information or instructions including use of company two way radio.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
