About the Role:
This position manages projects related to Harbor Drive facility improvements, modifications, or surveys. This includes preparing all estimates related to engineering drawings and specifications for work that is part of a major project or a total project of moderate scope. Facility Engineers evaluate our site infrastructure needs and prepares long-term cost and usage studies. Performs all necessary scheduling and coordinating of projects with internal customers, Maintenance, construction personnel, and outside contractors. This includes managing capital budgets, contractor PO’s and invoicing, and contractor safety.
- Perform all engineering in accordance with building permits and city/state building codes.
- Maintains all necessary records regarding project status and costs.
- Has working knowledge of safety/environmental OSHA regulations, building practices and techniques related to facility engineering.
- Responsible for installing new machine tool equipment within the manufacturing shops. This includes working with the trades for freight, concrete demolition and pouring, running new electrical/water/coolant/air utilities to the new machine location.
- Working with city officials to obtain various types of building and fire permits.
- Associates degree or technical certificate or 5 years of related experience
- Previous experience working in construction or engineering
- Familiar with OSHA and building standards
- Working knowledge with Office 365
- Bachelors degree in an engineering field
- Experience in installing and commissioning manufacturing machine tools
- Previous experience working in Maintenance or Facility Engineering
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD
- Previous experience in obtaining city permits
