About the role:

As a Senior Control System Hardware Engineer you will manage the design and implementation of non-safety control systems for greenfield projects across the world with a focus on the control system platform hardware, IO and related equipment. This is a mid-level position but will offer opportunity for growth for you.

You will report to the GOS Manager, Control & Information System Engineering and be located at our Cranberry Township, PA facility. This is a hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the design and development of industrial control systems by analyzing requirements and reviewing customer provided design input.

- Selection and specification of IO, controllers/processors, power supplies and other equipment in order to satisfy design requirements.

- Create and update hardware drawings and related documentation based on the functional design.

- Help develop control system platform standards.

- Help develop hardware related test procedures and support the test team during the execution of the test program.

- Support V&V related activities to support project quality plans

- Support a variety of calculations including software hazards analysis, susceptibility analysis, FMEAs, and Power/Heat load calculations

- Support innovation and internal transformation programs to improve product quality and project efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Nuclear).

- 5+ years of experience.

- Experience with hardware design and development for common PLC or DCS platforms

- Knowledge of engineering principles and techniques

- Operate as part of a large global team and demonstrated leadership experience.

- Understanding of electrical theory and other engineering principles applicable to cabinet layout and design.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
