Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering principles, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead complex projects from conception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of engineering methodologies, a passion for innovation, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Leadership
•Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
•Oversee the design and development of new valve and product designs.
•Ensure compliance of valve and product designs with all relevant industry and quality standards.
Collaboration
•Work closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, operations, and external vendors, to ensure seamless project execution.
Mentorship
•Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Documentation
•Ensure all engineering processes, designs, and solutions are well-documented and adhere to company standards.
Innovation
•Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation within the team.
Qualifications
Education
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
•Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in engineering industrial equipment. Prefer at least 2 years or more experience in a senior or lead role.
Technical Skills
•Strong understanding of engineering principles and methodologies.
•Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, leveraging your expertise to solve complex engineering challenges.
•Functional understanding of mechanical engineering and FEA software.
•Functional understanding of fluid dynamics and CFD software.
•Understanding of the basic principles within the field of metallurgy.
•Experience in creating and managing bills of material.
•In depth understanding of drawing practices.
Leadership Skills
•Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams and projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
Physical requirements
Position requires extended periods of time sitting using a computer and concentration. May require lifting heavy parts and or equipment.
