Job Summary
The Senior Engineering Tech provides technical support to engineering teams. Performs routine and moderately complex activities involving data acquisition and storage, report generation, data quality maintenance, and process management. Provides comprehensive user support for domain-specific software systems.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Accumulates and effectively organizes engineering data from multiple sources for engineering analysis.
- Develops, implements, and maintains standardized technical and engineering staff processes.
- Confirms accuracy of well and production data, takes appropriate action on any changes, and communicates required corrections to the necessary parties.
- Creates and maintains databases and spreadsheets of technical data.
- Compiles, assembles, and distributes reports.
- Responsible for loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, and reporting data.
- Initiates and develops more accurate and reliable data analyses and reporting methodologies.
- Provides moderate-level data cleanup based on data quality reports and related support for engineering and analytics projects.
- Monitors new technologies and draws upon expertise to make recommendations for further exploitation of existing technologies.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Computer proficiencies:
- SQL, Spotfire, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Aries, WellView, SiteView
- Strong knowledge in the following considered a plus:
- High school diploma (or GED).
- Minimum of five (5) years of related industry experience.
- An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
