The Program Management function is responsible for providing the strategy for the planning and execution of development and production projects and customer orders. The function controls project cost and manages adherence to technical and schedule performance plans. This role manages the risks and opportunities and directly interfaces with customers as required.
Sr. Program Manager will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Order and Project Management, and will deliver with leadership, planning, motivation, understanding and experience. The position is accountable for the performance (to time, quality, cost and/or as-bid Gross Margin) of the program and manages project elements, including, but not limited to, schedule, cost, resources, and risks.
- Proven track record for delivering complex system integration projects
- Managing cross functional teams, both internally and externally

- Project manage activities and undertake tasks as directed by the business
- Take responsibility for all aspects of the assigned project(s), leading the project team to deliver within timescales and budgets.
- Financial forecasting and performance monitoring, i.e. Earned Value Management (EVM), Cost of Sales (CoS), Estimates at Completion (EACs), Gross Margin (GM) and Invoicing / Cash flow.
- Delivering project financial performance that matches or exceeds budget
- Organize, plan and progress, monitor and report on all aspects of the project allocated (technical, timescales, cost and risk)
- Effective co-ordination of change control and claim management
- Identification and management of project risk and issues
- Identification for opportunities to expand business areas, through project scope increases
- Understanding and reporting project performance this includes providing effective leadership and taking appropriate action where team performance deviates.
- Manage the interface with the Customer and key suppliers
- Represent the Company at meetings (internal and external) and provide minutes and/or reports as required.
- Ensure that all communications, both verbal and written, are clear, unambiguous and correctly routed.
- Change / Claim Management (preparation and negotiation of)
- Prepare and contribute to bids as required, including generating technical proposals and cost estimates within agreed (often-short) timescales.
- Previous Senior Project/Program Management experience, ideally gained in an engineering environment
- Proven ability to build and develop strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Excellent MS Suite skills
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) preferred
- Bachelors Degree in mechanical, electrical/electronic or manufacturing field preferred
- Proactive approach to Continuous Improvement and KPIs
- Provides written communications (e.g. documented plans and scheduled) and communicates in real time with the project team using meetings and verbal or non-verbal cues.
- Directs the creation, approval, and ongoing change control of the project plan
- Progressively elaborates high-level information into detailed plans throughout the project life cycle
- Manages to meet the project objectives and leads the project planning activities
- Identifies, addresses, and resolves differences between individuals and/or interest groups
- Familiarization of Regulated Industry Contract Terms or equivalent
