Position Specific Description

This position resides in the Cybersecurity Operations & Reliability (COR) team, a functional group under the Information Technology Operations group within Information Technology. The Cybersecurity COR group is responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information and computing networks. We are seeking a senior cybersecurity analyst with at least 4yrs of experience to help continue to shape and operate our COR tools support stack and incident program. As a senior cybersecurity analyst, highly experienced professional you would be responsible for the direct support of the supported COR tools

In your role supporting and assisting with NextEra’s cybersecurity tools support, you would work with cutting-edge innovative cybersecurity related technologies with strong background in supporting Cybersecurity AV solutions. This would include the operational functions (upgrading and patching) supporting the tools. Network protection tools support experience is required including support around technologies such as IDS/IPS. In addition, you will recommend process improvements to protect cybersecurity vulnerabilities and weaknesses.

Job Overview

This job performs ongoing cybersecurity risk reviews for new and existing technologies and services and supports ongoing and new cybersecurity projects. Individuals develop requirements for and implement technical security projects and tools, as well as define the company’s cybersecurity policies and control framework. This position collaborates with the company’s IT department and business units to identify the need for, select, and deploy technical controls to meet specific security requirements. Employees in this role build processes and standards to ensure security requirements continue to be met.
