Job summary
The senior applications developer and database administrator develops, tests, analyzes, and maintains enterprise applications including Oracle Fusion in support of organizational business objectives. They research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the software production life cycle. This individual has a strong understanding of databases and ability to create SQL queries, reports, integrations, stored procedures and manages operational aspects of Platte River’s systems.
Work environment and schedule
This is a remote position that works a typical Monday through Friday schedule in a home or corporate office setting and requires minimal physical effort to occasionally lift and carry light objects.
There are required monthly or quarterly onsite days for this position; this individual is responsible for their own transportation for onsite work and should reside within a commutable distance of Fort Collins.
Essential duties and responsibilities
•Models the mission, vision, values, and culture of the organization.
•Works with enterprise applications including Oracle Fusion throughout their lifecycle to ensure proper functionality, usability, reliability, security, and performance.
•Develops enterprise applications including reports and interfaces according to defined standards, specifications, and associated schedules.
•Monitors, debugs, and tunes applications for optimal performance and reliability.
•Installs and configures enterprise applications for end users, providing necessary training as required.
•Collaborates with IT colleagues, third party consultants or vendors, and internal customers on specifications, patching, releases, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
•Creates and maintains SOPs, knowledge articles and development documentation related to projects and operational support.
•Enforces software licensing and usage policies.
•Acts as lead on ongoing projects that may involve multiple entities and overlapping schedules, analyzing and resolving issues as needed.
•Aids, supports, and provides technical guidance to end users and IT colleagues.
•Uses proficiency and understanding of Oracle Fusion and relational database models and SQL to write queries, reports and interfaces (batch and real-time).
•Plans and executes system backup, refresh and recovery.
•Collaborates with business partners and internal customers to gather and define business requirements to develop solutions.
Other functions
•Provides technical support to all IT customers and serves as technical lead in areas of expertise, including providing resolution to escalated help desk tickets.
•Occasionally delivers presentations and/or training to staff.
•Researches and makes recommendations to management regarding business processes, development environments, and third-party applications; interacts with service providers and vendors throughout contracts or procurement process.
•Assists with disaster recovery and business continuity planning for related areas of responsibility, collaborating with other staff to address interdependencies.
•Supports refinement of software development standards.
•Works during the evenings, weekends, after hours or on-call when required.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
•Proficiency in multiple programming languages and applications, development environments, and database platforms.
•Demonstrated ability to write shell scripts to automate and schedule repetitive tasks.
•Commitment to learning and assimilating new technologies and platforms.
•Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills that foster productive working relationships.
•Ability to remain motivated and manage work proactively with minimal supervision and direction
•Experience enhancing, configuring, or supporting the following areas:
•Oracle Fusion ERP, OIC, EPM, WACS and OFSC.
•Oracle Reporting including Oracle Business Intelligence and BI Publisher.
•Oracle Fusion Real-time and Batch Integration.
•Azure Cloud Integration using Fivetran or similar technologies.
Qualified candidates
•Education: Hold a bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or software engineering; may be substituted by equivalent combination of years of education and work experience.
•Work experience: At least four years in an enterprise IT role working with Microsoft platforms.
•Company vehicle liability: Maintain driving eligibility per company policy requirements or regular and reliable transportation for work-related purposes.
Pay
This is a salaried exempt position; ranges listed below are annualized. Factors that may be used to determine actual wages include specific skills, years of experience, education, and certifications.
•Full range: $119,974 to $173,963
•Hiring range: $119,974 to $146,969
