POSITION TITLE: IT DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

LOCATION: BANGOR ME

REPORTS TO: MGR, IT ARCHITECTURE & DATA GOVERNANCE

POSITION STATUS: EXEMPT, NON-BARGAINING UNIT

The Database Administrator II (DBA II) will be responsible for the management and maintenance of databases that store critical data for business systems and analytics. Working closely with Data Engineers, Developers, and System Administrators, the DBA II will ensure databases are optimized for performance, availability, and security. This role involves setting up backup and recovery procedures, monitoring database performance, and implementing necessary security measures to protect sensitive data. The DBA II will also assist in the design and implementation of data models and schemas that support the efficient storage and retrieval of data for analysis.
