Summary
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will leverage your expertise to maintain the health, performance, and security of NVR’s on-premises and Azure-based Windows infrastructure. Additionally, you will work as part of a team to assist with vulnerability management and disaster recovery efforts.
Key Job Responsibilities
•Provide operational and Tier 2/3 customer support for NVR’s Windows Server environment, including Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificate services, and group policy.
•Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex problems on virtual infrastructure platforms, including Azure, Nutanix AHV, and Hyper-V.
•Collaborate with the vulnerability management team to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities affecting Windows Server.
•Work with the business continuity team to ensure NVR is prepared for disaster recovery scenarios.
•Document policies, procedures, and knowledgebase articles.
•Perform on-call duties as needed, including after-hours support.
•Follow established NVR policies and procedures, and recommend changes when necessary.
Job Qualifications
•5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, with strong skills in enhancing systems design, maintaining current systems infrastructure, and troubleshooting complex issues independently.
•Experience managing Windows Server systems in both cloud and on-premises environments.
•Experience managing Active Directory domain and infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Certificate Services.
•Experience managing Exchange Server 2019 operating in a hybrid configuration.
•Experience managing ProofPoint On-Demand.
•Experience in or knowledge of virtualization infrastructure (specifically Nutanix AHV and Hyper-V).
•Experience in or knowledge of Azure administration (storage accounts, Entra ID, provisioning VMs, tagging resources, configuring RBAC, etc.).
•Experience in or knowledge of scripting and automation tools.
•Knowledge of networking software, hardware, and networking protocols.
•Strong communication and documentation skills.
