Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting, is responsible for executing the monthly financial consolidation process and preparing internal and external financial reporting deliverables for various joint ventures and standalone entities.
Duties/Responsibilities:•Prepares and posts monthly consolidation and elimination entries in OneStream for multiple entities.
•Prepares monthly equity and investment roll forwards as well as standalone and consolidated statements of cash flows.
•Prepares monthly internal management reporting books and assists in the preparation of external financial statements and annual employee benefit plan financial statements using Workiva.
•Maintains accurate and well-documented workpapers to support financial disclosures and reporting.
•Coordinates with various departments to gather and validate information required for financial statement preparation and internal reporting.
•Assists with the preparation of audit schedules and provides support during external audits for multiple entities, including joint ventures.
•Supports ad-hoc financial reporting projects and responds to internal and external information requests.
•Researches and assists in drafting financial statement disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.
•Assists in the preparation of variance analysis to explain key drivers of financial performance.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
•Knowledge and solid experience with US GAAP and financial statement disclosure requirements for public and private companies.
•Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial statement disclosure requirements.
•Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
•Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
•Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members and other departments.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
•Minimum of 2+ years of experience in public accounting or financial reporting for a public or private company
•Midstream energy sector experience is a plus
•Experience working with SAP ERP, OneStream and Workiva is preferred
Certifications:
•CPA certification or eligibility strongly preferred
Physical Demands and Hazards for Office Employees:
