Seasonal Plant Quality Control Technician Job Description

The Seasonal Plant Quality Control Technician(s) like all employees of Bridger Precast is a core member of the company. The Quality of our concrete products are controlled by the Quality Control Technician(s). This position reports directly to the Quality Control Manager. This is a seasonal position, typically from spring through fall, with potential for extension based on company needs and employee performance.

Long hours will be required during the busy portions of the year (up to 60 hours or more a week)

Education

•

High school diploma or some college in related field desired

Experience

•
No experience required

Knowledge

•

Complete start to finish understanding of the precast concrete processes

•

Working knowledge of concrete structures

•

Working knowledge of steel reinforcement

•

Knowledge of equipment used in the manufacturing process of precast concrete products

Skills

•

Excellent communication skills with both coworkers, customers, venders and other agencies

•

Excellent organizational skills

Abilities

•

Must possess the ability to read, write and speak English in this position

•

Ability to understand basic arithmetic and measurements

•

Ability to read shop drawings

•

Ability to recognize and develop talent within the organization

Training

•

Certifications in ACI, NPCA (PQS 1), OSHA and/or Lean Manufacturing a plus

Physical Demands

•

Sit or stand as needed

•

Walking primarily on a level surface

Work Environment

•

Office / Shop environment approximately 100% of work week

•

Some Job Site visits required

•

Daily exposure to both indoor and outdoor manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and boots

Future

Actively seeks out precast concrete industries practices and implements the practices

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift

8 hour shift

•

Monday to Friday

Overtime

Weekends as needed
