We are currently looking for a Scheduler who will report to the Master Planning, Forecast & Scheduling and contribute to optimize the short-term production sequence according to the machine and human resources available.

- Based on the Production Director Program (PDP), propose a production sequence for each cell using the APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) system over a period of approximately one to three months
- Optimize the scenarios according to the different resources available, while keeping the objective of respecting the PDP
- Communicate the issues when the scenario cannot align with the PDP
- Analyze the recommendations of the ERP in line with the recommended sequence of the APS system
- Issue recommendations to planners and operations stakeholders regarding human resources and machinery needs within one to three months; in line with the delivery schedule and fluctuations in resources
- Communicate to stakeholders the work plan for the coming weeks in line with the deliverables committed to the Sales department
- In collaboration with the purchasing department, manage and monitor the outsourcing process in order to optimize internal production capacity
- Communicate regularly with the production team to identify and integrate solutions related to potential issues and optimize sequences
- Participate in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in order to measure, on the one hand, the respect of the sequence by the production, and on the other hand, the respect of the PDP
- Participate in the development of a dashboard that integrates the capacity of bottleneck machines
- Participates in the decision-making of internal production or subcontracting
- Develop and monitor outsourcing plans to meet capacity needs or collaborate with Velan's North American factories to obtain operational support
- Together with the Manager, Value Stream (VSM), participate in the weekly distribution of the workforce according to the work centers, on its horizon of one to three months
- Develop and maintain APS system operational parameters for the plant
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or Related Field
- At least 5 years of experience in production planning and inventory control in the manufacturing field
- Knowledge of MS Office, particularly excel
- Knowledge of ERP
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
