The SCADA Engineer is part of the Miller Bros Solar O&M department and will be responsible for supporting the ROCC SCADA integration, which monitors and operates photovoltaic powerplants and battery energy storage systems to maximize safety and productivity. This position is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining automation and SCADA systems and equipment in support of Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Scada Engineer:
- Onboards new plants by mapping and configuring SCADA systems and equipment.
- Provide guidance in application of and compliance with PLC, Human Machine Interface, and SCADA Standards and requirements.
- Troubleshoots and repairs SCADA systems and equipment in support of Operations activities.
- Manage backup copies of all PLC programs and software upgrades, and monitors access to SCADA system.
- Provide technical support to Facility Engineers in support of new or modified control and communications equipment and systems.
- Manages SCADA Network passwords and security credentials and provides SCADA system training to Operations personnel.
- Manage revisions to the PLC, HMI, and SCADA Standards document. Reviews and approves modifications or revisions to hardware, software, and communications equipment.
- Operational experience with protection applications such as SyncroWAVE, AcSELerator Quickset, and AcSELerator RTAC.
- Troubleshoot process upsets on all associated production and safety equipment.
- Communicate with operations and site teams to ensure safe operations in a compliant environment.
- Ability to interpret, document, and communicate emergent issues per structured escalation paths.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
- Three years relevant energy industry experience in SCADA engineering.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of instrumentation and process control systems and equipment, PLC / HMI programming and SCADA systems management.
- Experience with N3uron, Ignition, and Bazefield.
- Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA, MQTT).
- Experience with HMI graphics from single lines or P&IDs
- Demonstrated expertise in configured PLC ladder logic and relay logic.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft products.
- Experience performing multiple tasks simultaneously.
