Salt Water Disposal Operator

Overview:

The position of Salt Water Disposal Operator will be responsible for maintaining records for daily reports, performance maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision.

Responsibilities:

- Cleaning out SWD filter baskets on the pumps and offload locations.

- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with truck drivers.

- Checking loads to ensure fluid is acceptable for disposal.

- Proactively monitoring water levels at site to ensure tanks are within their operating parameters.

- Daily inspection of equipment and facility operating functions.

- Perform necessary preventive and corrective maintenance.

- Monitoring and account for skim oil volumes removed from facility.

- Tracking pump pressures.

- Coordinate with trucking companies on delivery of saltwater.

- Monitoring drivers for proper procedures and the use of personal protection equipment.

- Maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times.

- Ensure compliance with HSE policies and saltwater disposal requirements.

- Reporting safety and environmental issues to management.

Qualifications:

- Must live within 50 miles of Carlsbad, NM

- One (1) year of salt water disposal operation experience.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.

- Strong working knowledge of PD pumps, Quinniplex pumps, H pumps, & Centrifugal pumps.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Excel) and simple mathematical calculations.

- Valid driver's license and clean record.
