Description

As a Sales Territory Manager for Instinctive Metals (IM) your primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth within your designated region. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining relationships with architects, contractors, and construction firms, promoting our edge metals, wall panels, and roof panels for various construction projects. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, acquiring new customers, providing technical expertise, and delivering exceptional customer service to grow existing accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty.


Primary Responsibilities

Develop and utilize a strong understanding of project knowledge during the sales process to answer customer questions and engage in consultative selling

Develop a sales pipeline in an assigned geographical area (territory) composed mainly of:


o Metal roofing contractors


o Roofing contractors


o Mason Contractors


o General contractors


o Architects / engineers

Utilize online lead services such as ConstructConnect to develop market awareness of building projects and associated opportunities with each new build / project

Prospect for and acquire new customers matching target customer profiles

Obtain requests for quotes from customers with all required details, then produce estimates and quotations

Grow existing accounts, increasing the number of jobs per month and average sales dollars per order, looking for new growth opportunities within each account.

Increase the foothold in accounts, by increasing the number of relationships at the customer and strengthening each relationship. (Breadth & Depth)

Provide excellent customer service follow up on orders, proactively resolve issues, provide updates from customer to shop floor and vice versa, properly manage expectations, etc.


Pitch in and help teammates as needed

Contribute IMs sales strategy / plan by gathering key market information and assessing opportunities and risks to rapidly growing the business



Requirements

Sales and account management experience, preferably in an industrial environment

Strong desire to grow sales territory with an entrepreneurial mindset to drive personal income to over $200k per year.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and delivering presentations and or proposals

Experience negotiating pricing and terms, with a win-win focus so IM can deliver on the promises made and customers expectations are met or exceeded

Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage own schedule while reliably getting the job done


Preferred Requirements

Experience in the metal roofing industry, whether installer, ran a crew, inside or outside sales, or simply in a roofing business


Outside sales experience

Have a 4-year degree in either sales or a technical field, or journeymans card in a skilled trade
