Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing client relationships, and overseeing the daily operations of our small, but mighty sales team. This role requires a motivated individual with a strong background in sales and a passion for high-end flooring products. The ideal candidate will have experience working with trade clients and will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to meet business objectives.
Sales Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets. Actively make sales and pursue potential customers
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and action plans to maximize revenue.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with trade clients and key stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Operational Oversight:
- Oversee daily sales operations, ensuring the team operates efficiently and effectively.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
Appointment Management:
- Coordinate and manage client appointments to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Prepare for client meetings by understanding their needs and presenting tailored flooring solutions. Ensure that the showroom has representation and organized for appointments
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities within the high-end flooring industry.
- Stay informed about competitors and industry developments to adjust strategies accordingly.
Training and Development:
- Provide ongoing training and support to sales staff to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the flooring or home improvement industry. Possess flooring product knowledge and installation best practices.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of high-end flooring products and the trade industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a sales team.
- Computer proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite/ QuickBooks
- Must have dependable transportation
