We have an immediate opening for a Safety and Training Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary:
Providing essential support to the Safety and Risk Management team, focusing on identifying employee training needs, coordinating industry-related and safety training, and maintaining accurate training records. This role is also responsible for managing and submitting various types of insurance claims, including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Automobile Accident claims. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Job Title: Safety and Training Specialist
Pay: $28.85 to $38.00 Per hour. We pay for experience
Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Onsite in Danvers, MA
What you will be doing:
•Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and coordinate industry-specific and safety training programs.
•Schedule and organize training sessions, including Safety and job-specific safety courses.
•Assist with building out and maintaining an LMS system.
•Partner with Safety and P&C on the development of any incentive or pay for certification programs related to educational, certification and/or safety accomplishments.
•Track employee training completion and certifications, maintaining accurate and up-to-date training databases.
•Assist with the development and maintenance of training and safety-related documents, such as SOPs, training manuals, and compliance records.
•Coordinate training grant programs, including applying for grants, managing documentation and compliance requirements, and ensuring funded training initiatives are successfully implemented.
•Engage with new employees, onboard and standardize processes, train in Townsend processes, and adopt new strategies when opportunities to improve arise.
•Other administrative support
•Manage the submission, tracking, and follow-up of insurance claims, including Workers' Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Accident claims.
•Act as a liaison between employees, insurance companies, medical providers, and internal teams regarding claim status and documentation.
•Maintain and update claims documentation, ensuring all required paperwork is accurate and submitted on time.
•Support incident investigations by gathering witness statements, photos, and other supporting materials as needed.
•Maintain OSHA recordkeeping and compliance, including updates to the OSHA 300 log and regulatory reporting requirements.
Qualifications / Skills:
•Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration, Safety, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
•Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in safety, risk management, or insurance claims processing.
•Experience working with insurance claims, safety programs, or regulatory compliance is a plus.
•Strong organizational skills.
•Familiarity with training coordination, OSHA regulations, and claims management.
•Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and claims/training management software.
•Analytical thinking to assess training needs and claims accuracy.
•Ability to work independently while collaborating with HR, safety, and legal teams.
