Overview
Help maintain the successful operation of fabrication shop. Maximize production and create quality products for our customers. Adhere to all written procedures and all safety standards.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
The Role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Individual must be able to perform the essential duties with reasonable accommodation.
•Delegate work assignments to shop fabricators.
•Communicate with sales team on existing and upcoming projects.
•Give presentations and demonstrations to new and existing customers.
•Fabricate new parts for customers.
•Preform basic maintenance of shop machinery.
•Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on shop machinery.
•Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
•Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
•Communicate with receiving dept on inbound inventory.
•Preform safety meetings and required safety inspections.
•Palletize products for shipping.
•Support and Assist VEMC.
•Offload and receive new inventory.
•Maintain and secure work tools.
•Clean and maintain work area.
•Painting of completed pipe spools
•Preform quality control procedures.
•Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
•Be available for on call after hours service.
•Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others, report workplace hazards, injuries, or illness immediately.
Required Experience
•High school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree).
•Vo-Tech Training or equal experience in welding and Fabrication.
Preferred Experience
•Three years’ experience preferred but will consider other applicants.
Skills & Abilities
•Knowledge in the following areas: assembly; parts; ability to read and understand specifications; quality control; and safety.
•Working knowledge of PVF products and basic welding functions with carbon and stainless-steel pipe.
•Experience using one or more of the following tools: horizontal band saw, pipe cutting and threading machine
•Ability to set up and operate machinery such as pipe bending machines
•Ability to read and interpret specification required by customer.
•Ability to read and understand standard tape measure.
•Overhead crane and sit-down forklift experience preferred.
•Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Working Conditions
•Ability to work in warehouse conditions exposed to various elements of temperature and noise. (non-climate controlled).
