Maintenance Technician - Fabricator

Position Summary
Primarily responsible for supporting building and machine maintenance while also assembling, welding, cutting, and shaping metal and other materials to produce high-quality components and products. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings, and proficiency in operating various fabrication tools and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
•Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to determine project specifications.
•Operate fabrication equipment, including saws, welders, grinders, press brakes, and CNC machinery.
•Cut, shape, and assemble metal and other materials according to design specifications.
•Perform MIG, TIG, and/or arc welding as required.
•Measure and inspect finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards.
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
•Troubleshoot and resolve any fabrication issues that arise during production.
•Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to optimize manufacturing processes.
•Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in proper working order.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
•Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
•Must be able to move freely within the office and work area.
•Requires independence, sound judgment, and discretion in performing job duties.
•Great hand and eye coordination.
•Exposure to noise, dust, and metal particles in a manufacturing setting.
•Standing, bending, lifting, and working with hands for extended periods.
•Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in welding or fabrication is a plus.
•Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or manufacturing preferred.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools.
•Knowledge of various metals and fabrication techniques.
•Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
•Strong commitment to safety and quality.
