We’re looking for an experienced RPAS Training Instructor to deliver and develop industry-leading training programs. You’ll be responsible for conducting Transport Canada-compliant RPAS courses (Basic and Advanced), as well as leading the design and implementation of Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) training programs. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the next generation of RPAS pilots and training standards in Canada.
- Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction for Basic and Advanced RPAS certificates
- Develop and implement advanced BVLOS training curriculum
- Provide flight reviews, evaluations, and mentorship for students
- Ensure all training materials meet Transport Canada and industry standards
- Stay current with evolving RPAS regulations, technologies, and best practices
- Contribute to the growth of RPM’s training programs with innovative approaches
- Qualifications
- Ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Transport Canada Advanced RPAS Certificate (required)
- Demonstrated operational experience as an RPAS pilot
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, airspace, and BVLOS operations
- Teaching, training, or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills
- Assets (Nice-to-Have)
- Experience in curriculum development or aviation instruction
- Background in manned aviation (PPL, CPL, or ATPL)
