About the Position
The Energy Auditor position performs and supervises the residential energy audits and assessments as well as supports and assists with commercial energy audits across Accurate-Airtight Exterior’s client portfolio. The Energy Auditor position routinely performs energy modelling of client sites and prepares reports and recommendations to clients based on findings, as well as helps educate clients on energy conservation and usage. Additionally, the position processes energy rebate and incentive paperwork as needed. As a member of A-AE’s professional energy audit team, a successful position incumbent is expected to demonstrate a strong customer focus, a high degree of initiative, professionalism, time management capabilities, and the ability to work both as an individual and part of a larger team to achieve project objectives and goals. As a part of the leadership team, this position will work proactively with the President and other leadership team members to plan and execute organization-wide initiatives and activities. The position will report to the President and CEO of the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
•Perform residential energy audits
•Assist with commercial energy audit under direction of Lead Commercial Auditor
•Energy modeling of residential homes with provided software and reporting
•Help Lead Air Barrier Technician with onsite air barrier testing
•Light construction and field work as needed to support construction team
•Follow up on residential sales and energy audit leads to ensure prospective client receives quality customer service
•Follow up with customers, vendors, and affiliates on behalf of sales team
•Assist sales team in looking for commercial air barrier testing work
•Assist office staff as needed. Duties may include scanning documents, drafting case studies, preparing materials for trade shows, researching product choices, or other tasks as they arise
•Assist staff with outreach presentation preparation and delivery
•Material, vendor, and product research to assist promoting optimum project solutions
•Work booth at trade shows as needed
•Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
•2+ years of residential and/or commercial energy auditing experience
•Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
•High school diploma or equivalent
•BPI (Building Analyst Certification) or willingness to become BPI certified within first three months of employment. We will cover the cost of your exam if you have a passing score.
•Strong interest/desire in an energy efficiency career
•The ability to conduct energy audits on and offsite
•Strong customer service and client relationship management skills and enthusiasm for energy conservation
•Ability to work independently and in a team setting
•Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have ability to prioritize workload
•Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies
•Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
•Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
•Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases
•Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
•Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
•Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios
•Willingness and ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights
•Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment
•Must also be able to regularly perform heavy physical work that includes moving objects up to 40 pounds

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
