We are seeking a highly motivated Lighting Auditor to join our remote operations team, supporting Sales and Operations by conducting lighting surveys/ audits for commercial and industrial spaces across North America.

This role involves performing audits of large facilities (up to 3 million square feet per month), gathering data on fixture types, layouts, and light levels, and designing custom lighting solutions to drive energy savings. The Lighting Auditor will collaborate with Sales Engineers, recommend suppliers, and maintain strong client relationships while traveling up to 90% of the time.

The Roles and Responsibilities:

•

Learn the CES audit process and partner with Sales, Project Management, and Operations teams to outline, define, and document auditing best practices.

•

Effectively audit 3+ million square feet per month (750k weekly) of commercial and industrial facilities including exterior parking lots and interior warehouses, offices, and manufacturing spaces.

•

Identify existing light fixture types, counts, controls, layouts, building dimensions, light levels, and additional inputs needed for energy savings calculations.

•

Read floor plans, lighting specifications, and utility bills to extract project data inputs.

•

Design unique custom lighting design to meet the customer’s expectations including building out a controls’ layout, photometric, and fixture re-grid, if necessary.

•

Capture necessary photos and details required for utility incentive applications.

•

Gain familiarity with our core group of suppliers and provide recommendations as to which one to specify while maximizing profit and meeting the customer’s expectations.

•

Develop and optimize schedule based on type and location of incoming audit requests. The Lighting Auditor will typically travel Monday-Thursday, documenting anywhere from 3 to 12 sites each week, with the autonomy to plan their own flights and hotel accommodations.

Provide a high level of communication and transparency between Customers, Sales, and Project Management.

General requirements:

Exhibit strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and a willingness to learn

•

Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently

•

Must be able to multi-task and handle a high volume of projects.

•

Proficient in MS Office Suite and auditing software (SnapCount)

•

Knowledge of electrical principles and lighting systems/controls is strongly preferred
