We are looking for an experienced commercial and industrial quality assurance inspector based in Northwest New Jersey (Sussex, Warren, Morris, and Hunderdon counties). This position involves thoroughly examining products, materials, and processes within a commercial or industrial setting to ensure they meet established Utility Energy Efficiency Program quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements, utilizing various inspection techniques and tools to identify defects, inconsistencies, and non-compliance issues. Communication and reporting or findings to relevant stakeholders is key to maintaining the program quality and supporting high levels of customer and trade ally satisfaction.
· Visual Inspections: Conducting thorough visual examinations of products to identify surface defects, cosmetic inconsistencies, and damage.
· Dimensional Inspections: Measuring product dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other methodology tools to verify compliance with specifications.
· Functional Testing: Performing operational tests on products to ensure proper functionality and performance according to established standards.
· Material Analysis: Inspecting raw materials and components to verify their quality and suitability for production.
· Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining detailed inspection records, documenting non-conforming items, and generating reports outlining findings and corrective action recommendations.
· Standard Compliance: Ensuring adherence to industry standards, company quality procedures, and regulatory requirements.
· Root Cause Analysis: Investigating identified defects to determine root causes and propose preventative measures.
· Production Monitoring: Actively monitoring production processes to identify potential quality issues and proactively address them.
· Calibration and Maintenance: Maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment to ensure accuracy.
· Collaboration: Working closely with production teams, quality engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality concerns and implement improvements.
