Resident Field Mechanic - Commissioner

Overview

Bidell Gas Compression’s Parts and Service group has an immediate opening for a Resident Field Mechanic - Commissioner.

This position will be of interest to senior level technicians who are looking to add depth to their already substantial skill set.

The purpose of this positionincludes but is not limited to:

Duties

- Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing, mounting and installation of packages with the ability to read and understand all details on package drawings. IE: Service flows, GA’s and PID drawings.

- Must be computer proficient in respect to navigation through OEM performance programs and be able to generate accurate reports on windows based programs.

- Must be proficient in all aspects of repair and troubleshooting of all natural gas engine, reciprocating and screw compressor packages.

- Must have a strong understanding of process, instrumentation, electrical components and system control panels on all packages.

- Complete all aspects of specific related work without direct supervision. This involves a high capability for problem solving, critical thinking and strong technical skills.

- Provide overall leadership, mentoring, coaching and training to all service staff to achieve desired results.

- Proactively meet customers’ needs and generate business-development opportunities.

- A passion for success and positive outcomes.

- Required to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time

- Be available and participate in the on call rotation

- Comply with all company policies

- Clean class 5 driver license.

Qualifications

- Must have a minimum of (5) years experience with the maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting of equipment relating to the natural gas compression industry.

- Waukesha/Cat 3600 Certified (and maintain certification), preferred.

- Strong customer service and communication skills

- Well organized and efficient

- Detail Oriented for accurate paperwork.

- Ability to work effectively without supervision.

- Flexibility with time scheduling to meet customer needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
