Position Overview JOB DESCRIPTION
The Representative, Federal Government & Public Affairs will be a key contributor to the multi-discipline Government and Regulatory Affairs team. Under direction of the Supervisor, the incumbent will be actively involved in the planning and execution of department operational activities, policy reports, research papers, Political Action Committee (PAC) activities, philanthropic initiatives and communications efforts.
Responsibilities And Essential Duties
- Tracking and analyzing federal policy, regulations, and legislation
- Conducting research, preparing reports, briefings, position papers, and presentations for senior team members
- Assisting with the DC intern program hiring process
- Assisting with all activities related to the corporate PAC
- Event planning and coordination for both internal and external PAC fundraising and solicitation events, volunteer initiatives, and office activities
- Working with and managing vendors on company sponsored events and activities
- Assisting with updates to our in-house tracking and reporting systems
- Assisting in budget preparation and control activities as requested
- Assisting in the preparation and control of schedules, records, budget, and reports
- Providing administrative support to senior team members
- Other duties as assigned, including project assignments
KNOWLEDGE
Basic knowledge of office protocol, document control and handling procedures and typical computer document management applications are required.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a Government or Political Science discipline preferred.
Experience
: Three (3) or more years of experience in communications, government relations and/or public affairs, preferred.

There are no direct reports.

Ability to multi-task and function in a highly dynamic atmosphere; must exercise discretion independently within Cheniere’s values.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.
- Some travel is expected to support corporate wide efforts at company facilities.
- Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends.
- May be required to work outside of regular business hours.
- Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by Cheniere.

The hiring range for this exempt role in Washington, DC is $74,000 - $124,000 per year.
