Disassemble and evaluate incoming blower, compressors and other Aerzen products, diagnose and recommend action, complete machine repairs, prepare reports and communicate actions as needed.
Equipment Evaluation:Tear down and evaluate incoming equipment to assess damage, diagnose cause of damage, identifies root cause of failure and recommend further actions needed for repair
Mechanical Skills: Demonstrate and utilize good mechanical skills, an understanding of rotating equipment and knowledge of proper and safe usage of mechanic’s tools and shop equipment
Visual Product & Component Knowledge:Identifies Aerzen products and understands their use for a various customer application
Product Assembly:Able to assemble Aerzen Products per company defined procedures with accuracy, precision and quality
Repair/Rebuild Blower: 3S - 240S: Performs repair/rebuild of Blower using basic rebuild kit
Repair/Rebuild Blower: Level III: list below or equivalent
Repair/Rebuild Compressors: Level II: list below or equivalent
Rebuild: Compressor 8 R - 37 R/ 18 R - 40 R
Repair/Rebuild Blower: HV 10-15: Performs repair/rebuild of Blower using basic rebuild kit
Repair/Rebuild Delta Hybrid: Performs basic replacement of blower stage in hybrid package.
Turbo Equipment: Performs basic electrical troubleshooting for Turbo blowers. Replaces damaged electrical components. Replaces inverter assembly. Replaces motor assembly. Replaces VFD. Installs new communication boards
Documentation: Read, understand and use equipment diagrams, checklists, and other process documentation to repair per Aerzen standards and customer requirements
Reports:Prepare a written repair report to document cause of failure, description of work performed, materials consumed, condition of equipment as received and as returned to customer
Sub-Vendor Relations:Coordinate use of sub-vendors as needed.
Field Service: As required, perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and/or PM service on customer equipment onsite; Represent Aerzen in professional and courteous manner following all Aerzen and customer safety requirements
Performance Tests: Develops performance tests complying with engineering documents, vendor/manufacturer specifications, various machine characteristics, customer specifications and applications. Must be capable of troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, electronic, and/or mechanical obstacles.
Training:Ability to train new employees on essential job functions
Education: High School Diploma (GED) Required; Associates Degree (two year college or
Experience: 7+ year’s experience related to mechanical, rotating equipment and/or
Computer Skills: Windows, Microsoft Office, Internet Usage
Certifications: Welding Certification (brazing, cutting, welding, plasma)
Other Skills: Ability to use regularly a forklift, ladder, hand/power tools, digital equip.,
welding equip., hydraulic equip., refurbishing equip., calibrating equip.,
