Your Opportunity


The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Lead Rental Shop Attendants through daily tasks, offering guidance and support where needed to keep operations running smoothly, making sure both guests and staff have a great experience.

- Greet visitors and assist with inquiries in a friendly and resourceful manner

- Ensure equipment check-in/out procedures are followed by staff, including completion and filing of required documentation according to Rental Department protocols

- Confirm that skis and snowboards pass visual inspection and that all issued equipment meets safety protocols

- Explain proper use of ski and snowboard rental equipment as well as general safety practices to visitors, ensuring they receive all information needed to enjoy a day on the slopes.

- Receive returned rental equipment, following equipment check-in procedures

- Support staff with Rental lesson programs and ensure all steps are followed accurately and test receipts are retained and stored securely

- Assist Sr. Department Supervisor, Rental & Retail with weekly ski calibration testing

- Communicate with senior staff and other departments at Conservation Halton

- Assist with staff training both pre-season and in-season

- Support with the development of department SOP’s

- Work in accordance with the Conservation Halton’s Safety Policies & Procedures and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all other related manuals.

- Other duties as assigned


Your Qualifications

- Previous experience with ski/snowboard rentals/repair is required

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, with confidence to make quick decisions when required

- Customer service mindset. Able to communicate confidently with both visitors and various levels of Conservation Halton Staff

- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in a leadership role is an asset.

- Experience in point-of-sale procedures is an asset

- Knowledge of recreational programming is an asset

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, nights and holidays

- Able to lift up to 20 pounds, stand, and walk for long periods of time

- A valid Ontario Drivers Licence, minimum Class “G2”, with a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required. Abstract completed by Conservation Halton*.

- Successful candidates must complete and/or provide a copy of Bindings Certificate prior to first day of employment

- CH parks are not accessible by public transit; candidates should ensure they have reliable transportation
