We are currently seeking a hands-on Oil Remediation Foreman to support our environmental cleanup and oil spill response efforts. This position plays a critical role in restoring contaminated sites using both manual and mechanical remediation techniques. You will assist in removing, treating, and containing oil-contaminated materials to help restore ecosystems and maintain regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Support field remediation efforts involving digging, soil agitation, and material removal.
•Utilize manual and powered tools, including tillers, for soil disruption to enhance bioremediation effectiveness and improve soil aeration.
•Perform ex-situ remediation such as:
•Dredging/Excavation: Dig and remove contaminated soil for proper offsite disposal.
•Pump and Treat: Assist in extracting and processing contaminated groundwater.
•Set up and operate containment and recovery systems such as booms, skimmers, and pumps for waterborne oil cleanup.
•Apply chemical oxidation or bioremediation agents as directed.
•Maintain equipment and ensure safe operating procedures in all field environments.
•Accurately document work performed and communicate progress to supervisors or environmental engineers.
Qualifications:
•Experience with physical labor involving digging, soil handling, or landscaping equipment is strongly preferred.
•Familiarity with operating tillers or similar soil preparation tools is a plus.
•Prior experience in environmental services, oilfield support, or hazmat response is beneficial.
•Willingness to work outdoors in variable conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a field team.
