Take the lead in shaping the future of land development as the Regional Leader, Land Development for a dynamic, growing engineering firm in Chattanooga! Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
•Directing all aspects of land development projects from concept through completion, including technical oversight, staffing, budgeting, and scheduling.
•Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers and support staff across multiple concurrent projects.
•Serving as a technical authority on site development, grading, stormwater management, utilities, permitting, and compliance.
•Engaging in client-facing activities, including presenting at public meetings, managing stakeholder communications, and serving as a trusted advisor.
•Developing proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing project financials.
•Driving strategic growth of the land development practice by nurturing client relationships and pursuing new business opportunities.
•Collaborating with other practice leaders and internal disciplines to ensure coordinated project delivery.
Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s a plus)
•10+ years of civil/site development experience with leadership roles
•Knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, and permitting
•Experience leading teams and mentoring junior staff
•Comfortable presenting publicly and working with regulators
•Skilled in AutoCAD Civil 3D and similar design tools
•Strong client and business development experience
•Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and PowerPoint for reporting/presentations via Teams or in person.
