Refrigeration Mechanic

Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable individual to join our team. This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on refrigeration units (reefers), lift gates, and general trailer components. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of reefer systems, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair refrigeration units on trailers

- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on reefer units.

- Conduct lift gate inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

- Perform general trailer repairs including lighting, doors, seals, flooring, brakes, and suspension components.

- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs.

- Maintain accurate repair logs, service records, and part usage documentation.

- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.

- Assist with emergency breakdowns or service calls as needed.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in refrigeration and trailer maintenance

- Familiarity with diesel-powered reefer units and electric systems.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
