Records and Information Services is responsible for the custodianship of Water and Power engineering records related to design, construction, maintenance, repair, or modification that are required to meet regulatory and legal requirements.
Under general to direct supervision, performs a variety of duties of moderate complexity in a fast-paced office environment. This includes operation of all digital equipment used for scanning, maintaining, and storing records currently produced and maintained at SRP. A complete working knowledge of the department is obtained through training modules. Progression steps have been defined and Labor Grades determined according to how many training modules have been completed. Employees must complete a minimum of 1 year and be signed off as proficient in each module before moving on to the next grade or step.

- Scan, edit, and index documents and records into the document management system.
- Index daily mapping products into the document management system.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy for work processed.
- Perform print and digital distribution according to customer requirements or pre-established distribution lists.
- Operate small and large format scanners and plotters.
- Understand the drawing numbering system for engineering documents.
- Research for various documents per customer request.
- Assist in the maintenance of all equipment.
- Perform quality checks to ensure that all work is going out to customers correctly.
- Employee must work safely and efficiently in the performance of their job duties.
- Must maintain effective communication and working relationships with other employees, customers, and the public.
- Must have the ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Accurately enter information into the work management system.
- Overtime opportunities may exist.
Must be able to perform administrative duties and have the ability to use reason and logic. Expected to be courteous, a good work ethic including attendance and reliability, and possess a strong understanding of customer service. Must demonstrate discretion and tact when dealing with others. Must have the ability to follow detailed instructions and understand standard procedural flows. Accuracy of interpretation and detail is essential. Leadership abilities are a requirement in the upper levels of this position. Must be able to deal with multiple tasks and have a strong understanding of goal setting and achieving objectives.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Administrative Clerk, Customer Service Representative, Information Management Consultant, records management or equivalent experience. Information Custodian training is a plus.

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
