We are seeking a skilled and motivated R&D Engineer with a background in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) to support the development, testing, and enhancement of electronic systems and products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, validate, and implement innovative electrical solutions, as well as improve existing systems through structured testing and data analysis.
A key aspect of this role is the setup and operation of data acquisition systems, involving the use of computer software, sensors, and instrumentation to aid in the capture of system behavior. Proficiency with tools such as WinDaq, MATLAB, or similar platforms is essential for conducting accurate and reliable tests. The R&D Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that test setups are properly configured, test data is accurately captured, and results are documented in clear technical reports. This role may also include contributing knowledge to aid in the redesign and modernization of current products and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
•Collaborate with the R&D Manager to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
•Work with R&D Technicians to build, assemble, and or prepare equipment for testing and validation.
•Develop and execute test plans for new product development and existing product improvements.
•Set up and operate data acquisition systems and instrumentation (e.g., WinDaq, MATLAB)
•Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
•Coordinate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and feasibility of prototypes.
•Participate in product redesign efforts to improve performance, manufacturability, or cost efficiency.
•Ensure all development and testing activities comply with relevant industry standards and internal quality procedures.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), or Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET).
•Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuit design, and signal processing
•Hands-on experience with data acquisition systems and signal analysis (WinDaq, MATLAB, or equivalent)
•Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, technical drawings, and system-level documentation
•Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
•Ability to translate conceptual designs into functional prototypes and test setups
•Experience with lab instrumentation, sensors, and test automation is a plus
