Pump Shop Specialist II

The Pump Shop Specialist II at Aqua-Chem is responsible for all compressor, pump, hydraulic repairs with some supervision. Support with technical questions when they arise from sales and service tech team.

Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $26.00 - $34.00/hr | Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:

- Machining Knowledge (Manual Mill, Lathe, Balance Machine, Spin Tester, Laser Alignment, Hydraulic Hose Machine, ETC.)

- Pump Tear Downs (Write Evaluation, Reassemble, and Retest)

- Use precision measurement equipment in accordance with company/industry standards.

- Compressor Teardowns (Write Evaluations, Reassemble, and Retest)

- Help diagnose issues, identify root causes, help with Technical Questions, and implement corrective actions.

- Perform rigging, lifting, and moving of equipment/parts using cranes, forklifts, metal carts etc.

- General Assembly (Stamp Name Tags, Install Pumps, Compressors, Hoses, ETC….)

- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Education/Experience:

- High School Diploma/GED required

- 3-5 year(s) in machining and other similar roles required.

- Basic Knowledge of Pumps and compressors required.

- Welding experience (MIG & TIG) preferred

Requirements:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen

- Able to work overtime as required
