This position will require performing work within brownfield (active) substation control houses. Work on some of the world’s largest renewable energy plants as a manager of technicians of asset commissioning, repair, and service on power systems projects. We work with the largest independent power producers in the US and need to grow to meet their needs. Travel required 90% at job site. Approx 1 week per month at home.
5 years of substation commissioning and Protection & Controls experience. 3 years of utility scale renewables background. Excellent management and communication skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to schedule and forecast work to avoid delays.
Able to pass an MVR Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test
· Performs daily detailed review of the work to be performed
· Communicate daily with offsite and onsite personnel from multiple to entities to ensure roadblocks are eliminated
· Attend all plan of the day meetings with on site entities
· Implement Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, assure all LOTO performed as per company policy
· Prepare a detailed Weekly and Daily work plan that identifies all work to be completed as well as overall progress of the commissioning or work activities.
· Supervise and ensure all testing, work, and commissioning activities adhere to the applicable work and safety standards
· Assist in constructing testing and standard work instructions creation
· Adhere to the Quality program and complete all required documentation
· Ensure all tooling/PPE in proper condition and within acceptable calibration date
· Expertise in utility scale BESS and Solar inverters
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently on a daily basis.
· Standing on feet for extended periods of time.
· Bending, stooping, and twisting frequently to perform required work
· Able to pass an MVR Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test
· Willingness to travel and relocate to the jobsite (the work occurs at the jobsite, but we do allow time home every 1 week every 4-5 weeks)
