Position: Propane & Propane Parts Attendant (Seasonal or Full-Time)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Propane & Propane Parts Attendant to join our team. As a Propane & Propane Parts Attendant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our customers with their propane parts requirements and ensuring safe and efficient propane cylinder refilling. This position offers an opportunity for growth within the company and will be compensated based on previous work experience. Additional training will be provided if necessary to ensure success in this role.
Key Job Responsibilities:
•Assist customers at the Bottle house by conducting thorough inspections of their propane cylinders and safely refilling them according to established procedures.
•Support customers in the parts department by processing payments and providing necessary parts and fittings for their propane gas system assemblies.
•Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally in person or via e-mail and telephone.
•Perform external inspections of cylinders and undertake necessary recertification of cylinders as per requirements.
•Handle the loading and unloading of new and scrap cylinders for sale or proper recycling.
•Efficiently pick up and deliver parts, fittings, or equipment as needed.
•Conduct controlled flaring of cylinders in the queue for recertification.
•Maintain the yard by ensuring equipment and debris are properly cleared and organized.
•Safely operate the forklift for the movement, loading, or unloading of equipment around the yard.
Work and Experience Requirements:
•High school education or higher.
•Prior experience in customer service, particularly in a fast-paced work environment.
•Proficient in handling heavy equipment and materials.
•Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
•Previous experience in the propane industry will be considered an asset.
•Training will be provided to ensure proficiency in the role.
