Mutual Propane is looking for an excellent service-oriented CDL driver with the motivation to advance into our service technician position. If you have the basic mechanical knowledge to work with tools Mutual Propane is willing to train the right candidate. Responsibilities:
•Drive Class B cargo tank motor vehicle to deliver bulk propane to customer sites as needed.
•Delivery and pick up of cylinders from various locations
•Responsible for inspecting the truck; operate it in compliance with the Safety rules, local and federal laws, DOT rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
•Adhere to company safety policies at all times
•Complete Pre-trip and Post-trip inspections on truck
•Maintain excellent working relations with customers, vendors and employees
Mutual Propane will train and certify the right candidate to complete the following responsibilities:
•Refurbish propane tanks and equipment to prepare for new installations
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot propane dispensing systems in the field
•Operate Boom Truck for tank installations
Requirements:
•1 – 3 years driving experience

•3 Year current DMV printout – Applicants must meet the minimum requirements as prescribed by our insurance company which includes but is not limited to the following: No major violations such as DUI’s, reckless driving violations, or 3 moving violations during previous 36 months or 2 in previous 24 months on your DMV printout
•Current Class-B California driver’s license or better with Haz-Mat, tanker and Air brake endorsements
•Must pass physical exam and drug/alcohol screen
•Ability to work with service related tools
•Willingness to work after hours and weekends on a rotating on-call schedule.
•Ability to apply basic math skills
•Ability to communicate well with customers and fellow employees
•Neat appearance and professional demeanor
•Ability to operate a propane bobtail equipped with a PTO driven pumping system safely
•Ability to work under time constraints & deadlines
•Dependable and work well with minimal supervision/ Good route management skills
•Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
High school diploma/GED required. Experience with propane delivery service helpful but not required. Willingness to participate in in-house training and safety meetings.
